My dad, Aloys Ebe was an original member of the Cascade Two Cylinder Club. He was always interested in old John Deere tractors from his days growing up as well as operating the Ebe seed potato farm in Whatcom County.  I followed his interest in old JD tractors and started collecting 1/16th scale model JD model tractors.  When I would come home during vacations and holidays, he would show me his latest old tractor acquisitions.  He was extremely proud of the fact that he along with help from my cousin, Kurt Ebe. of the restored 1937 Model B John Deere they had restored.  It is a row-crop style tractor that he had obtained from Jim Hale.  Jim had bought the tractor in the lower Yakima Valley mainly for parts. I remember he told my dad that it was a "basket case and it would never run again".  That statement seemed to be a challenge to my dad.  He and my cousin took it completely apart, restored it, and made it like new!  When my dad passed away back in March of 2019, I inherited the tractor and brought it to northern California where I live.  I am in a local antique tractor and engine club and I take it to various shows and parades the club participates in.  Since the inheritance of the 1937 Model B, I have also acquired two 1958 John Deere 420 crawler tractors, and a 1958 John Deere 720 Diesel that I co-own with Dax Kimmelshue. I also own a 1931 Model 10 Caterpillar crawler that I inherited from my dad.
